Hey there, stumbled across the site last week after looking for some research on Acoustic /Electric basses. I have played in church bands for about 15 years. I also sing and lead worship.

I had been playing a 5 string (cort Artisian) for a few years but found that I did not use the b much so I decided to try my hand at an acoustic. I ended up getting a good deal on an Alvarez but struggling getting the best sound. I am some what a sloppy player and the extra hits and touches are starting to annoy the drummer a bit.

I was hoping to get some suggestions on a possible pedal or device to help me. I have used a B1X effects pedal, but not really feeling it.. anyway, looks like a lot of information here, so I will be lurking here a while!
