Newbie say hi with a plea...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello All,

I am a bass player from the U.K. who is classically trained on the Double Bass and took up the bass guitar whilst at college. I am into Modern Contemporary Folk, Rock and Jazz as well as Western Art, Jazz and Folk on the Double Bass.

My plea...my 1982 Westone Thunder II needs a new neck fretless and left handed. Is there ANY chance of laying my hands on one OR do I just sigh and hang it up again and look for something else?

Happy New Year

Nick

Thanks for your reply. Yep, a custom neck would be nice but, in the end is it worth it cost wise? Maybe I'll chat with our Head of Design Technology who is a master carpenter at the school where I teach. He has already mended my acoustic bass that a kid broke. I said that it could not be done. He disagreed and the result is stronger than before!
