Most men at 50, get golf clubs. Me...I get an Ibanez AEB5E. So, I have been playing bass for 6 days now. Played in church this morning in fact.

I own and sing in a gospel quartet. Played a bit of keyboards when I was young, just enough to be dangerous. Mainly going to be dealing with some bluegrass stuff, basic hymns and some old style, basic quartet music. No idea where to go from here. I am too old and too busy to get back into the music theory part so I am going to wing it by ear. Really need to work on progressions and stuff.

Bass sounds pretty good. Not sure the strings are worth a hoot so I need to get recommendations for that.

Otherwise....greetings!

Hey noob! How ya doin? Watch yer step when posting and read the rules, they're strictly enforced. Some mods are very easy to get along with. The admins on the other hand are kinda sketchy. You rarely see them surface. If ya don't get a message from em then just think to your self "They haven't PMed me yet so I'm probably being watched by them." Don't think "None of the admins have said any thing to me so I must be on their good side."

Best of luck,
Eric
