Hello bassnuts,
new to this site but been playing double bass for a while (five string with high C, bought it from an old boy whose name was billy bat, probably dead by now so God rest his soul and bless ) anyway,, i have played in dance bands and classical orchestras, but now have found myself in a rock band. so here's the rub, i have a little pickup but all a get is feedback when put through the PA.
As it is a rock band loud ain't loud enough so i need advice on how to mic my big mama up!
this may be a tall order but i would like to maintain my nice bass sound or tone ( i like it anyway ) and try to keep that boom that basses give, on top of this may be nice to use the wand ocasionally, Any replys will be given a thousand thankyous, If you have read this far and post no reply, thankyou too!

You'll need an amp to play in a live band to get any volume without feedback. Run a line out to the PA from your amp. Your amp will act as a personal monitor for you to hear.
Good luck
