Hey everyone. Just joined the forums so I wanted to introduce myself. My name is John, and I've been playing bass casually for a while. I play a little bit of drums and guitar as well and try to do some writing here and there. I'm playing an Ibanez Soundgear right now, but it's a lower model and I hope to upgrade in the very near future.
I'm a big fan of various forms of music, but my primary interests in in the prog and metal veins. My favorites include the likes of The Mars Volta, Tool, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Mudvayne and Dream Theater, but I also listen to a lot of classic rock like Pink Floyd, Rush and early Genesis.
I'm a HUGE fans of all music in odd time signatures, and I am putting together an odd time library at
www.oddtimemusic.com. I'm just getting rolling with it but hope to odd more stuff to it as time progresses.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Great place you all have here.
