I paid my dues last week but I just found the "new member intro" forum...
Been playing guitar on and off for 10 years, bass on and off for 3 or so. Getting more into it now, guitar is fun but bass is what I feel at home on.
Just came here to chat a little, see what's going on. I have gotten caught up on guitar boards in the past... spending all my time dissecting this and that, arguing about woods and magnets and all that stuff, instead of playing. Trying not to do that this time around.
I also made the mistake of learning mostly by tab for guitar, so my 'by ear' needs a lot of work--no more tabs for learning bass unless I really get stuck. It's harder but more rewarding and I feel like I'm actually learning something rather than playing text file rockband. |
