Just a "howdy" to all my fellow bottom-dwellers!
After playing semi-professionally (actually got paid a number of times) for five years, I set aside my bass for about 34 years. And I now am blowing off the dust and limbering my fingers for an "elder statesman" run at making music again.
For the past year and a half, I've been part of a class reunion garage band, and the reunion show turned out great, even though we picked up four players the day before the gig. So my appetite is whetted, and I plan to practice more and maybe get back into it.
By the way, it's tough to do a reunion band when the gig is 1500 miles away and the guys can only get together once every six weeks...
