I found this place looking for bass reviews... I hate my current bass (which was my first) and just put it up on Craigslist. I'm checking out the Dean Evo XM, which led me here. It seems to be getting good reviews...
I have a really hard time playing my Sigma acoustic/electric fretless. I bought it because one of the bassists I was really into at the time played fretless, and another played acoustic, so when I found a used fretless acoustic I said what the heck and bought it. That was five years ago. I had no idea what I was looking for, and the neck is just too big. (I'm 6'1" and have really big hands for a chick, but I have a feeling playing bass shouldn't hurt. At least, not that much.)
