Hello all, just stumbled across your forum in search of some techniques. I have played guitar for nearly 8 years and after my band couldn't find/hold a bassists i decided to give it a shot. Since pic**** up my first bass about 8 months ago i haven't been back to guitar, its nice being flashy, but its so much better being felt rather than heard so much.
Just last week i purchased my first bass, its an ibanez gsr200 with active electronics. No complaints yet. but coming from guitar im worried im playing with some bad habits inherited from the guitar, i want to get all that i can out of my playing, and learn the techniques proper for a bass.
Does anyone have any tips for an ex-guitar player turned bass?
