Oh, hi.

>>" Seems I completely missed this forum when I thought about making my first post.

Anyway - hello! I'm Brian, 17, been playing bass since 2009. First bass was a Peavey Milestone III (basically a shiny blue J-bass) and, although I've played 4s, 5s, and 6ers, I usually end up coming back to the Peavey 'cause none of my other basses have such an amazingly slim neck.

If I had to name three major influences I'd probably say Metallica, Dream Theater, and Iron Maiden (yes, I'm a metalhead). But while I'm naming names, I'll also say I'm into Level 42 (as far as overall sound - no way in heck I can slap like MK) and slow walking-bassline-blues-type stuff. These two are because my dad also plays bass and these're where he comes from, so obviously I'm going to take a lot from him.

My plans are to either get into a heavy metal band (meaning 80's Maiden/Early Metallica/Megadeth metal, not 2000's blindingly fast crap), or - seeing as that has a pretty narrow margin of success - work in a recording studio and hang around other people in bands and stuff. Something to do with music because I like music a lot.

ANYWAY YEAH hello. Feel free to call me out if I'm being an annoying teenager.
