An old road dog starting over

After a 20 year layoff and 2 teenagers later (who now play their own guitars), I figured a decent 50th birthday present to myself would be a new bass and amp rig, to replace the gear I sold in order to pay for the birthing and rearing of aforementioned teenagers.

Used to play pretty much every biker bar & roadhouse in southern/coastal NJ.

Core music was covers of southerly latitudes: Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet, Outlaws, Wet Willie, et al; and boogie blues like Foghat, John Lee Hooker, Ry Cooder with the usual AOR top 40 tunes thrown in to keep everybody happy.

The new gear is a Fender P Bass, I figured it was good enough for 5 years of road dogging, it's good girl to return to. Didn't squander on the amp setup; a GK 700RBII with a 210RBH & a 115RBH cab. And I thank the guys who answered my earlier post about a homegrown biamped rig I had seen a hundred years ago, steered me in the right direction.

Lots of good stuff on this site, I'll hafta hit the tip jar on the way out.
