| Exercises I'm a new bass player and I saw a vid on YouTube that suggested to use only frets 9-12 and work various patterns of the typical 1-2-3-4.
So I sit there watching TV with the wife running 1-3's up and down all strings, then 2-4's up and down all strings, then 1-3-2-4 up and down all strings, then 1-2 up and down all strings, then 2-3 up and down all strings, then 3-4 up and down all strings. I have been doing that for about a week and I will tell you that my finger strength and dexterity is starting to kick in now.
There are tons of exercises out there, but that's what I do just to keep my fingers moving while watching tv. |
