My name is Christian and i'm 16 years old.
Ive played drums for 8 years, but in my area there isn't many oppurtunities for a drummer. The real push for me to pick up bass was because a local band lost their bassist and asked if I played...I didn't, but I told them I'd be getting one for christmas
Plus I think I have an advantage over most new players, in that my dad has played bass for about 10 years(woot for free lessons). I"m really influenced by metal(pantera, L.o.g., slayer, necrophagist, mastodon), jam bands(phish, les claypool's frog brigade), and groovey-ish rock(clutch, rush, dio-era black sabbath)
So ya, you'll be seeing me around here, most likely asking a billion questions.
