I'm a drummer from Buffalo, but I've always been around bass and bass gear due to my dad's being a bassist. I'm also a gear-head whose rather obsessively interested in electronics, particularly sound reproduction. You could say I was destined to be a bassist, I suppose.
Anyways, I've been playing seriously for about 6 months, and playing gear lent exclusively gear lent to me by my dad and friend. I'm currently saving for a used ESP F-405.
Here's the Gear rundown:
-Red Yamaha RBX 765A
-Korg Pandora
-Ampeg B2 1x15" combo
-Home Built 2x10" with Eminence Legend P102's, ported, tuned @ 40hz.
The bass is a five-string tuned either to G or A standard.
I'm now in a metal band that has played two shows so far. Here's A couple links that should serve as pics and sound bites, although in this video I was playing my friend's Jazz bass.
