I own an Ibanez SR-500 . After gigging for 2 years with this bass I decided to replace the pick ups with the U.S. made Mk-4 BC's and added a DPDT 2 way switch for versatility of tone. I decided to keep the mk-1 pre amp. It worked just fine for my taste . The improvement was so great that even somebody who is not into music would appreciate it IMHO. |
