Hi drumsnbass,

I live far away from Barcelona, in Zamora. Do you want to talk in spanish? More than welcome.

I hope you don't mind a reply in English. My Spanish is mostly for tourist situations & menus.

Bacelona is one of my favorite cities. I heard some very entertaining nuevo flamenco at the Harlem Jazz Club in El Borne when we were there in June.

It was a new group lead by Diego Paque. Albert Puig was playing a lovely Drozd 4 string. Albert told me it was their 2nd performance! The syncopated groove was irresistable. The club rocked!

I'm bound to go back. Let us know about the music you hear & where it was performed.

Best wishes for an enjoyable trip

Sorry for the delay in back to you, too much engaged.
Zamora is in the north west of Spain, in fact is a very little state ("provincia" in spanish) and moreover I was born and currently live in a litlle town called... Benavente ( I swear). As you can imagine, I have to be a bassist will this determining factor but is not the best place to be a musician or stay in a band.

Regards

Thanks for the reply. I have friends near Barcelona, in Tarragona and Reus. I was there last in June.

Sorry to say I have never been North of Madrid. I hope to be able to spend several months in Spain sometime in the next 10 years. Then I can explore more of Iberia.

Best regards,

Barcelona is my favorite city for music business.
Iberia? That's of good connoisseur, my friend. Congrats.
