Been lurking here on and off for quite a while and have decided to come out of the closet. I have been playing with the same guys for about 15 years now - "The Bay Buoys". In the beginning we were playing primarily acoustic based music with lots of 3 part vocal harmonies. Two acoustic guitars and "moi" on bass. Now, we are a 5 piece band with an acoustic guitar/mandolin, electric and steel guitar, bass (that would be me), keys and a drummer. We are a hobby band playing local festivals, private parties and the odd bar gig. We all have families and other jobs but Thursday nights (rehearsal night) are sacred!
We play a lot of original music ... primarily blues & easy going folky stuff with lots of vocal harmonies. Covers include lots of late 60's and 70's - Grateful Dead, The Band, CSNY, etc. etc..
This board is an awesome resource!
I play a '77 Guild Acoustic, Spector NS Euro and a Godin A4 fretless.
