I joined the forum a few months back and posted once or twice, but I don't think I ever introduced myself. So allow myself to introduce... myself. I play in a reggae/rock/blues band called Burning Tree (here's the link if you want to check it out: http://www.myspace.com/burningtreeband ). I don't consider myself an incredible bassist, but I'm pretty good at what I do. I'm 23, I like to surf and kick it at the beach. I'm really into modifying Fender Basses. My next project I'm planning is a P-bass with a MusicMan pick-up in the bridge position.

The Gear:

Modified Fender Jazz
- Seymour Duncan Basslines (STK-J2's)
- Hipshot Ultralite Tuners
- Fender American Bridge (bass converted to string-thru-body)
- Custom Black/Red/Black Pickguard and Knobs
- Aguilar ODP-2 Preamp (Coming Soon)

Gallien Krueger 4001rb MK-VI
DBX 166xl Compressor/Limiter/Gate
Hartke 215XL

I used to use the Boss Parametric EQ for boosting my low at certain points, but it wasn't very effective.
