I just found this forum last night... Greetings from the beautiful, crime-free epicenter of the Blues and all things Elvis: Memphis, TN. Even though I live in Memphis, I am not a fan of the Blues and please understand that while Elvis' house is one of the main tourist attractions in town, there is a ton of great
current music coming out of here in just about all genres (except reggae, unfortunately).

I couple of years ago, I thought it was a good idea to quit buying new basses and just recycle my old ones. So, I started piecing together "new" basses from spare parts, necks, bodies, etc. I even sold a couple to some peer bassists around town. As if that adventure wasn't enough self-inflicted punishment, I'm now looking into building my own cabinets.
I also host a podcast called Not Another Locals' Show. We focus on local Memphis and regional bands, but we have and will play anything from anywhere in the world (as long as it doesn't suck... too much). Give us a listen at
