Sunn Amplifier

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello!

I have recently acquired a Sunn Alpha Four Amplifier.
I am aware that this was designed as a PA Amp, and I would like to match it up to a great cabinet or set or speakers that will get the biggest punch out of it. I am lacking in knowledge about ohm's law and matching up wattage with combinations, so any help would be great.
The Amp states that its Output is 100 w and I should connect to 4 Ohm Impedance. Does this mean I could find a 4x12 cab with a 4ohm impedance to use the greatest potential of volume withour risk of damage?

Hi James, welcome to TB. I'm no expert, but yeah a 4ohm cab is what ya need (or 2 8ohm cabs) Sunn amps are cool, but ya might think about a pre-amp since the A4 is a PA . Cheers Greg
