Yo,

Just joined the forums today and I have been an aspiring bass player ever since first listening to Who's Next (bout five years ago for me, I'm 20) and now have finally the time, money, and hopefully the patience to learn an instrument. I'm willing to dish out $500 for both a bass and amp and am more than open to suggestions on what particular models to look for, especially if there are any in the price range more suitable in emulating Entwistle's style.

Peace.

Hey, I've also just started, on the opposite side of the atlantic. personally, i'm about to go for a Fender Rumble 60, which seems a pretty good investment, although i can get it nice and cheap from a local shop, for £160 which is probably about $320. the best place to look is online, comparing prices and descriptions. just check everything atleast twice, and also check price. start off googling bass amp, find one you like, google the name, carry on right until you have name, picture, price etc, and everything else you need.
