My name is Dr Rico and I am a guitar playing fool. And like many a guitar playing fool, I had the audacity to think I was a bass player, too, as if by default.

Wrong.

So I humbly submit that while I have played bass on many a gig and several sessions, I play bass like a guitar player. Its time for schoolin'.

Bring it on!

Actually, I've been a 4-banger for about 25 years, but am way more comfy on guitars. That's prolly a good thing, as I've grown complacent and complacency is death to me spirit.

I live in South Florida and have for a decade after leaving (sadly) the Upper Left Coast (San Francisco, Eugene, Vancouver) to take a gig down here on the Lower Right Coast. I am currently residing in a condo on the quiet end of Miami Beach (ha!) after spending most of this time down here in a house in the county where I could play REALLY LOUDLY and rehearse at all hours and carry on and suchlike. Now I am under orders to BEHAVE and, well, its hard. But I manage.

I moved here from Vancouver after extended stints in Eugene and San Francisco. My recollection is that I had a few pairs of shoes in steady rotation to keep the moss down this time of year! But very beautiful and I miss the progressive politics.
