Hey guys

New to the forums and thought Id say hi. Came here looking for some tonal advice as I'm one of those guys that is mostly used to 6 little strings and has only recently expanded my bass playing to a more serious level. Have recently been recruited to play bass for Tainted, a pretty active band here in the NZ metal community.

Anyway, hi guys, boards are looking pretty mean and I look forward to getting involved

wilkommen. I play both, but it's funny I identify with being a bass player way more. There's lots to learn around here, and be sure to visit the humor topics too!

Hey mate Ive always associated with guitar a lot more. But Ive been away from the scene for the last few years and these guys dragged me out of retirement for their recent national tour. Was meant to be a one off session job but ended up as a full time thing now and Im loving it. Only issue is that here I am, a bit of a bass noob, trying to get good tones etc So I'm hoping the community here can educate me :P

On that note, which is the best forum to ask about tone? I already have the gear so just need to ask about the best way to approach it.
