unlikely bassist

Well, hello all! I am here because my band needs a bassist, and my half assed guitar playing made me think, "Why not try bass?" I am the throat for Fatal Corruption, and our previous bassist parted ways due to scheduling conflicts, and a crazy significant other. After 2 months bassless we decided we need something, but our local musician pool left something to be desired. I just today ordered a Peavey Millennium AC 4 string (Black Violet) and hopefully within a few months, I'll be able to learn to play at least some simple bass lines while "singing". Just enough not to get laughed off stage anyway. Untill then, we shall play bassless, and I will try my damndest to get up to speed. Enough about my situation, on to me... I'm a 24 year old, recently married, former Marine, current student (Penn State LV)/ FedEx Ground driver, who enjoys heavy metal, classic rock, punk, some rap, and a little bit of other suff here and there. In my spare time I play video games as if my life depends on it, and in about 7 months spend all my free time with my son/daughter (to be decided at a later date). That's me in a nut shell.
