Upright Electric for Practice

Sign in to disble this ad
I am presently attempting to learn to play an upright bass, but also need an instrument which is portable enough to be carried and used in a 32 foot camping trailer. My 3/4 is just not an option and I really do need to practice when I am away from home. I borrowed an electric bass guitar for 3 weeks and it helped some, but just wasn't the same. I have been looking at upright electric basses as a possible answer to my problem. I can't see spending a lot on this instrument, as I just want it for practice. I have looked at the Dean Pace 4-string and at the VE-500 Palatino. I would appreciate any advice on these instruments from people who have actually played them, as well as any alternatives you may be able to offer. Thanks
