Greetings, I've been lurking here for a while now. Love the bass talk, it's great fun. Now, if only I hadn't been moved near to the company "heads" recently.....
It's good to see a site dedicated to our obsession. I've been playing bass on and off for 20 years. That's a joke though, I think I've been off more than on. I love it, it's just tough to be consistent and I think all you weekend players know what I'm talking about.
I live in Santa Cruz, CA but I'm from northern MI. I'm currently playing in a "band" in San Francisco. Recently we finally got a practice studio -- it's nice to be able to make some racket. In MI everyone has a basement or garage so finding somewhere to play was easy. Here it's a bit more work.
Anyway, you'll be encountering my witty banter from time to time -- I have a bunch of other groups I belong to as well, so time's limited.
