walter woods issue

just acquired, finally, an old 400 watt ww amp, tried to switch voltage switch and plug in here in switzerland, no go. what do i need to figure out with grounding, fuse seems to hold 250 volts so that's not the problem, really, the ground maybe??? did a google search to find this forum, appreciate any help at all.

I am living here in Biel and teaching at the swiss jazz school in bern, actually the college part, improvisation of all kinds and classical bow techniques for jazz musicians...as for my introduction...that's about all in my state of mind at the moment!
