Washburn AB40 Pre-amp Problem

I am being tempted by a pre-owned Washburn AB40 but the Equis Crystal pre-amp is noisy and is probably the main reason for the owner wanting to sell. I am finding it very difficult to obtain a replacement pre-amp and would welcome any help in locating a source. Yours hopefully Dave Chapman UK.
