Well hello all

Howdy folks, just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name is Steve, and I'm from Ventura County California. I've been playing guitar for about 25 years, and in the last 2 years have started playing bass.

I plan on purchasing my first double bass in the next couple of weeks. I plan on visiting the newbie forums for advice on said purchase.

My favorite players are Les Claypool and Norwood Fisher.

Thanks for providing such an awesome, in-depth forum. I believe some of my long standing questions are soon to be answered.
