Well, here you go.

So, after ending up here from many searches from our friend Google, I finally decided to join.
I haven't played for a whole lot of years, but I wouldn't say I'm new to bass at all.
You can look on my profile, but there are no pics there, so, here are my instruments and amp setup.
Of course, my bass. 2005 Fender P-bass:
Pic is a bit big....

My 1980 Electra Phoenix X-140S

And an amazing pic of my amp setup. I desperately need a bass amp, but cannot afford one yet. This is slightly
out-of-date, I use an Ibanez Phaser and Morley wah now along with the Boss.

Hi Tyler, welcome to TB! I'm sure you'll get lots of good advice here.
I'm a more recent member, as well. You'll meet some interesting people here.
Check out the FAQ's and stickies in each forum when you have time. They're a great place to start.
Btw, beautiful basses. Cool colors. What type of music are you into? In a band?

Thanks, all over!
The P-bass, to say the least, is shamed by photos. You gotta see the thing in person, the finish is just so cool. It's the one that is blue/purple shifting in color.
If you know what that was officially called, I'd be very happy to know.
I'm into rock, and a bit of blues/funk. I'll take anything under the rock category up to heavy metal, and a few bands I just don't like in between.
I do technically play in a band, but it's a garage band as of now. Quite obviously I do bass, and rythm guitar.

Thanks for all the links too, I'll be sure to look at them.

Duh, I just noticed your Electra is a strat clone! My bad.
Rhythm guitar is good. I play a bit of rhythm myself.

Don't know the official name of the PBass color. I'm sure someone on TB does.

I also found a feature in the TB setup where you can automatically subscribe to each thread and receive daily updates. It makes it convenient to keep up with the threads that interest you. There are also other options as well.

I wouldn't exactly call the Electra a strat clone, it's got SG-type horns and an offset body, lending more to Hagstroms, etc. Personally, I prefer it's sound and hardtail to that of the Stratocaster. But, it does look like a Strat in a few ways.
What's weird is that the body has routing for humbuckers at the neck and bridge...

I'll go see if I can find out about that P-Bass...
