So Hi! My name's Mark, i'm 14 years old, most people would immediatly think i know nothing, since i've only played 6 months, but not to sound vain, but, I play better than a few people that have played for 5 years+...Probably because i spend maybe 5 hours a day on bass..Also, i'm one of the bassists that likes to stand out, and not just thump root notes. My playing style is based of a mix of influences from people like Geddy Lee(rush) and John Paul Jones(Led zeppelin). well anyway, I play a few other instruments, including: Piano, Guitar, Drums, and violin, but bass is my pride instrument.

Alright, well my setup is pretty pathetic compared to some of you I'm sure, so I'll start off the bat: I have an Ibanez GSR200 with flame top, it's got a J style pickup and 2 P pickups, i have 1 active pickup(the J). This bass really has a nice variety of sounds, and although only $260, really stands out with some 500 dollar basses i've tried. I also have a cheap Rogue Fretless 4 string bass, great looks on it, nice feel, probably not best tone, but very nice playability. I have two amps: My main one(for pretty much every use) is a Line 6 Lowdown 150W amp combo. Love the tones on that thing! I got everything from clean-distorted-chorus and filter wah. I also have some 15w Crate that i started with, but I use it for my electric drum kit now. Anyway; Let's see...i honestly gotta say I'm not like 80% of bassists that agree Fender makes the best basses, I honestly don't like them. I prefer low action and small necks. I'm half way to saving up for an Iceman bass. (which has pretty much all i want in a bass;low action, gold hardware, looks that kill, tone variety, tiny neck).
i've been on many forums before, but never been in one desiginated for the Low End. And I'm glad i found one that is. Alright, so, that's my little introduction, I'll be sure to be on plenty, if you guys are as crazy about bass like I am.
