what head and cab do i get.

hey guys,

im purchasing a new head and cab soon. i was thinking 2 4X10's at first. but im not sure if i need that much. maby a 6X10? im not sure.

the heads im considering:

Aguilar AG500SC
Genz Benz GBE 600
Genz Benz GBE 750
Ashdown ABM 500 RC EVO II

i was also looking at some ampeg stuff, but, i havent heard to much positive about ampeg. aguilar is awesome i know, but i've never heard anything bad about genz benz. so thats a def. possiblitly.

Out of that list, I'd go Genz Benz no doubt about it. The Aggie stuff, which is very nice indeed, is priced way higher than the Genz Benz, which is every bit as nice sounding and has twice the features. I don't care for Ashdown's tone personally, so can't recommend that one. Some love it.

The GBE 600 is discontinued, meaning there are lots of closeout deals you can find on them if you shop around. The 750 is the newer replacement. Either of these two would be killer.

i play mostly rock/alt. i went to a local guitar shop today and played a bunch of amps. and i like the genz benz 750 and the aguilar AG500 SC. those sound sick.
