I have a vox violin hollow body fretless bass that I played for 6 years during my junior through high school years. I have not played it since 1974. The son of a close friend of mine plays bass in a local band here in Las Vegas, and is looking for a second bass to play. I suggested giving him my old fretless vox bass.
What is the best pickup/or combination of... for a hollow body fretless bass? Is there a difference in wiring and controls options? I want to find out what is the hot setup for this guitar.
Thank you very much for your advice. I really admire muscians that are able to make a living at what they love to do most.
