What's up, people!? I'm actually a recent conversion - played guitar for a few years, but have now switched off and gone to the dark (low) side so that I can start a band. T-shirts and cookies were promised to me, but I suppose I won't hold anyone to them.
It's hard starting over. I thought the bass would be easy to pick up because of my previous experience with a similar instrument, but I was very wrong. My fingers hurt.
I enjoy music of all kinds, but I love everything with groove and a bit of double bass plus distortion. I hope to stick around for a long time. Love the forum.

i have heard that a short scale is a easier transition for guitar players...i started on a long scale and have since went to a short scale bass and love it.
