New to the site, and new to forums all together.. figured I'd give it a try. I'm living on a cruise ship for Royal Caribbean for the next month, stationed in Freeport Bahama. We're completely renovating the ship, and I came across a old Double Bass one of the bands was using. I figure in my freetime I'll try to teach myself, since I've wanted to be able to play upright since before I first ever picked up a bass. I've been playing electric for about 10 years now, but always learning everywhere I go.
Basically I wanna say hi to everyone, and whoever has any advice on transfering over to upright it'd be great to hear some tips.
alright thats all for now
hope to meet some bass guru's out there
cheers

Funny you say that, I feel like I brought some of my native Massachuestts weather down here..BUT I am planning on moving West Coast after this journey, so maybe I can really bring some of the sunny days out your way!
