This is a witty title. No, for real.

Hey, guys. This is one of those formulaic intro posts so instead of trying to be original I'll just tell you what you need to know.

I'm K. I'm 17 and have been playing classical upright for seven years. Yes, I am a chick. I play French bow and also speak French, but that is completely unrelated. Next year I'll be playing in three (youth) orchestras while filling out college applications and trying not to fail any of my five AP classes. My other interests include languages, listening to unidentified deep ocean sounds on the NOAA website, geekery, capoeira, and watching too much TV when I should be practicing. Yay!

Mmmm, classical upright. Don't you ever give that up - there's not enough of you in the world!

Thanks! Classical upright basically rocks.

I'm mostly applying to places with BM/BA dual degree programs. So places like Oberlin and Lawrence.
