Woo hoo!

I've been meaning to get a bass for a while now, both my dad and my brother play guitar, and I thought it would be fun to learn how to play with them, I've been goofing with it all day (I just bought a cheap squier to learn on) and I already love it . Can anyone recommend some good books for a beginner? I've got the Billy Sheehan Basic Bass book and dvd, was wondering if there's any other ones I should get?

Thanks!

If you're looking to learn some theory as well as technique the essential elements series (produced by hal leonard I think) are a good starting point. I believe they also come with a play along cd. There are also books out there dedicated to teaching the bass lines of specific artists such as Nirvana or Metallica (the legendary licks series is pretty good).
