Yet another old/new guy

Hello everybody. Just wanted to give a quick intro since I've been checking out this site for a while and decided to join. I'm 47, retired 5 years ago after working for the City of New York for 20yrs. I started off trying to learn guitar but that wasn't happening. I picked up the bass and I felt real comfortable with it. I've been taking weekly lessons going on 2 months now and I feel like I'm really picking it up and can't wait for the next one. I've been taking in everyones tips & insight that I read on here, everyone is very helpful (and comical at times). I look foward to being part of the TalkBass family & throw myself into the mix. (So much for a quick intro.)
BTW: My screen name is how I take my coffee.
