My friends call me Knackers. I used to play bass for my high school jazz band, but dropped it to play the real love of my life (Drums... oh noes... a drummer in a bass forum

That was 2 years ago. Now i'm studying music in Melbourne, Australia. And playing my drums daily. But i picked up a bass from Cash Converters (kinda like a pawn shop). An old Samick ST-110 I believe... It's pretty crappy. It's pretty dented. But it sure can walk.
I'm learning to play walking bass lines on the fly off of chord sheets. So far I can play Blue Monk.... and thats it. One of my fav songs of all time is Chameleon by Herbie Hancock, just cuz its groovy. Anyway. We'll see how this forum likes me. HEck. I'm shooting for Modship...
