Nope.

(That's pretty much what I'll be getting when I need a 5er)

Go for it. The only reason I can think of to not buy this one is if you would rather pay a couple hundred more for a US model.

Some don't care for the chunky L2500 neck. The Trib 2500 is slightly chunkier than the US. Personally I'm fine with both the US and Trib L2500 necks. I got a smokin' deal on a Trib L2500 and finally got a chance to play it with a band last night. It felt and sounded virtually identical to my US L2500s.

Okay, didn't get that one. Traded an Ibanez SR505 for another 2500 (Premium amber finish '05) plus a few bucks at Bass Specialites in PA. Great store. Anthony Wellington was in there when I arrived, too. Also, put my USA Jazz on consignment there, too.

I need to file fret ends a bit, but happy so far. Although I noticed that there was a slight reverberation noticable mostly when slap/popping only from the neck pickup (it was not the strings above the nut). Threw some foam under the pickup and it went away. Also, the neck pocket is a little big for the neck, Maybe in more humid weather it'll improve?

Anyway, I'm likin' it. And Glenn at Bass Specialties was very good to deal with and a straight shooter.

Cheers.

I had made an offer on the exact same bass about 3 months ago. The guy would not negotiate on the price. The bass seems to be in good condition, but I held out and bought a new l-2000 tribbie for less. So if you want a good bass for a fair amount of money, go for it. But, there may be something out there better as I found out.
