Hi, I need some info. I've got a L-1000 with a (yellowed)white painted mahogany body dated Sept 20, 19?? It has a neck plate hole thru the body date. Maple neck and board dated Feb 29, 1985 It has front loading controls and black crinkle hardware. How common is a painted mahogany body or even mahogany for that year. Thanks for any info, Leo

Yeah, G&L painted mahogany bodies sometimes. I've had a couple of guitars and basses that were painted mahogany bodies.
