Hey Guys,
Just got the L2000 at work. It's a beaut! I weighed it on a digital scale (although I really didn't have to it feels pretty light!) 9.2 lbs!
Now I need to take it home and plug in. So far I am pleased. Just thought I'd let you know.

Too heavy. Better sell it to me on the cheap & hold out for a lighter one.

Brent, that's outstanding! So issue #1 is no longer an issue. My custom L2K is 9.5 lbs, so things have definitely gotten better.

Take your time with it. I don't wanna see it up on eBay tomorrow. Been there.

One more thing - take some pics please!

Hey Jon,
No this was isn't going anywhere! I plugged in to my Korg Pandora last night and let it rip. It plays wonderful and sounds tremendous. I even like the stock Daddario strings it has on it! Nope I think this one is a keeper. Yeehah! I'll put up some pics as soon as I can. Glad to be back fellas.

Sweet! I've owned 3 L2k's and only one weighed less than 10lbs. My 2006 checks in at 9.5 lbs. Unfortunately the weight issue keeps me from buying an older. My SB2's on the other hand are both nice and light.

man that is amazing, I guess I got lucky, my L2000 Ash/maple/maple is 8.6lbs and my l2500 Ash/maple/rosewood is 9.2lbs. I have had my share of heavy basses, the heaviest of which was an acacia gruv5 with a 2tek bridge that was about 12.5 lbs. yikes !!
