ADDING A STACKED TONE CONTROL TO MY SB-2

Sign in to disble this ad
I searched this forum and couldn't find what I was looking for, so here goes.... I'm thinking about adding a stacked knob tone control to my SB-2, so.... what type do I order and who do I order from? Do I order separate ones for each pick-up or just one for both and how does it work. And finally, how does it get wired up? Thanks folks. I know there's got to be someone out there that can answer all these questions.

I ordered mine from Butch at http://www.bayoucables.com

It came as a complete wiring harness. I just snipped the leads and put mine in using wire nuts so I can return it to original if I ever decide to.

EDIT: he has them on his website now as a standard item http://www.bayoucables.com/stack-har...ick-p-142.html

Do I have to order the knob separate or does it come with the wiring harness? Also, does it come with a wiring diagram?

You'll want to ask Butch about that. If I remember the knob was separate. You really don't need a wiring diagram, you just kind of replace what's already there. Took me about ten minutes to do the whole project.

You might want to post on the G&L forum at badassbassplayers.com Several "GLeeks" and Butch himself hang out there.
