Am I just unlucky or what?

Hey Fellas,
I wasn't going to post, but I figured "well they will understand". I know many of you read my trials and tribulations over my custom L2000. Well I found another L2000that struck my fancy( or I thought would strike my fancy) it was a 2 tone sunburst with a #8 maple gun oil tint neck. Weighing in at a miraculous shoulder friendly 8lbs! It even had the single coil pickup option like my custom. So I went ahead and bought it shortly after X-mas. To be honest I had been watching this bass since August or so. When it arrived I was so excited, it was beautiful!
But it must have been mislabeled because the neck was sooo round. I'm thinking maybe it was a #6 neck? It felt very uncomfortable in my hands. Also, I'm pretty sure it weighed more than 8 lbs.I didn't have a chance to weigh it but it wasn't light. Of course it sounded great but the neck really bugged me.So back to the store it went. Am I destined to not find an L2000 to my liking? Or am I just too picky? What to do...

May I ask what store you bought it from?

There is a bass I am thinking of purchasing from an online store that matches the exact description you just gave, and if it's the same one then I'll avoid it.
