Anyone else's G&L l2k really sensitive to climate change?

I absolutely love my L2K, but the neck is THE most sensitive to climate change I have ever seen. I just had it tweaked a week and a half ago b/c of buzzing, and now it went right back to it. I try to set it up myself, but I cannot seem to get it. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi,

My L-2500 enjoys (????) a lot of temperature swings, I live in Scotland where it can get pretty cold ( not Arctic cold, but pretty nippy none the less ) and in the few Winter months I've had this bass I've never noticed any problems, and it has been left in it's case in my car overnight after a gig where in got down to minus 5C. ( I unloaded my rig / clothes / StingRay 5'er from the trailer and just clean forgot the bass which I had in the car cause it's new and I love it...ARGGGGHHHHHHH , ) and this is AFTER I woke my wife up at 2am that very night/morning to tell her how much I loved my new bass. Was she pleased ?? Yes and no. Yes that I hadn't wasted a wedge on a bass, but deffo no to be woken to tell her.

Women eh

I've noted previously that my G & Ls are far more sensitive to humidity change than any other bass I've owned. I've learned to live with it, but I do love pulling my Modulus out of its case & just plugging in. Tuning is rarely needed.

G & Ls are also the only basses I've had that go sharp as they warm up. That is, when I start playing them for soundcheck, etc. I will tune them up and begin playing. Then I'll have to tune them back down after a couple of minutes. All 3 of mine do this and every other bass I've owned warms up flat as the strings seat into place. Strange.

Yeah, my G&L Trib. 2k goes sharp while sitting in it's gigbag. It's also very affected by temp- and humi.changes. I've noticed that this sensitivity is more of a problem with new basses, it seems to fade away as the wood dries. My Yamaha (which is probably older than me) has as long as I've owned it only needed one setup, and I've had it for nearly 5-6 years...

Can't speak for G&L, but I had a cousin, a Stingray5, and it was very finicky. It drove me bonkers sometimes. Just another reason why I love my Mod's.
