Okay, that's my first (and still favorite) G&L but I don't have any pics of it. This is embarassing. I might be able to shoot some tonight.

That's a different 'burst than what mine is. It looks to be a 2-color Sunburst. My Tobaccoburst just fades from yellow to a brownish-red.

I tought it was a 3tone sunburst at first, but the tobacco sunburst example on the G&L website is very dark on the sides, while the 3 tone sunburst on the website has a lot of broad black edge.

Does mine count?

I don't know what to call that. Actually, I suppose it's not tobacco, in looking at it.

Not exactly what you are looking for .... but close enough.

Ebony board, pots modded to stacked vol/vol and tone.

I have two LB-100s, they are actually some of my favorite G&Ls..........One 3 TSB w/Maple board, and a CAR Fretless w/Ebony board. I do like that Emerald Green though, and I know what you mean, when you say "It grows on you". I have an older Stratocaster in a similar color, that I really did not like when I first got it, now it just looks "Vintage". I would not think you LB would be hard to sell if you ever wanted to.........Good ones are getting harder to find! There is just something to be said about a good passive P-Bass. When people ask me what are you're Legacy Basses like, I just tell them "It's a P-Bass (Fender) on Steroids"............

if you really want a p bass on steroids you have to get your hands on a L 1000 , shhhhsh dont tell anyone, but these basses sound huge and yet are passive, the ultimate p bass killer [IMO] all the best, steve.

Hmmmmmmm............

I thought the Wunkay (L1K) was active/passive, like the L2K? I thought the L-1000 you mentioned may be different? Is it one in the same..........

yes its the same, its a passive bass, but most people think its active because of the wide array of tones you can get out of it ,especialy the [OMG] mode. bass boost. leo was a smart guy!!!

Now that we've totally hijacked this thread..............

I hear the Wunkay might be coming back someday...........But I just may have to find a used one until then!

Gonna have to look at some of the Wunkay threads I guess, since it is one of the few G&Ls that I do not own!
