ASAT L2K Players whats your favorite preamp settings ? You know This bass sounds amazing in passive but when I use the preamp I usually go for the treble boost on.

My favorite settings?

My bass is an 03 L2K. In the Active mode, I prefer both pups, (without treble boost) the boost is just too bright for me.

Depending on how I feel, some days it's Series and some it's Parallel. Bass control about 60 to 70% and treble maybe around 50 to 60%

But I think you have to put your amp in the equation also. I'm using a Genz Benz ML 200-210T at church and the SWR Workingman 12 at home and elsewhere. I still find the settings mention above sound best to my ear in most situations.

So far:

Volume, treble, bass - dimed.
Both pickups on
Series/parallel in less bassy position
Preamp on w/ treble boost most of the time, but switched to preamp on w/ no treble boost for a few tunes.

But I've only gigged it once, so this is just a strting point.

Preamp on with trebble boost makes for some nice cutting through.
