i have a SH ASAT bass and i'm just trying to figure out how the bass treble controls work. if the knob is turned up all the way, is that the "default" position, and then i turn it down if i want less? or should it be in the middle by default and i turn it up or down? just wondering. thanks!

The controls are cut only. Turn them down to decrease treble or bass. All the way up is flat.

The MFD's put out such a huge response you may find some magic sounds by holding them back some.

do yourself a favor and pull that bass control back a bit... speaker eater upper if you play too much with it up too high.
