Bassist from UK Band "Buck Brothers" using a G&L L2000 on Fearless TV

A rather tasty silver L2000 has been brandished by the bassist from new Brit band Buck Brothers on a live music television show on Fox.

Does anyone in this parish know of a NYC based music show called 'Fearless Music TV'? It's a really great all live music show that's shown on the Fox 5 Network in the Big Apple and is syndicated all over the states. It's a cool show.

They've had on some rad bands/artists like Brian Jonestown Massacre, KT Tunstall, Paramour, Juliet Lewis & the Licks, Klaxons and loads of cutting edge up and coming stuff. .

Anyway, I was watching the previews for next week show and got really excited to see a silver L2000 staring me in the face. The band in question are Buck Brothers from the UK. I've googled them and found some pics of the bass and bassist.

Check out the photo link below:
Looks like an early L2000. 1980 or 1981 because of the knobs.

In the pic here it looks white but on the Fearless TV trailer - it was definitely silver. Did G&L ever make any inca silver basses? Or is this a refinish?

Here's a pic from their website which shows the colour of the bass better. Website is www.buckbrothers.net (c) to them and all that good stuff.

I know MusicMan did some inca silver basses but have not seen a G&L specimen before. Is this a rare bird?

Haven't seen that many Brit bands playing G&Ls......it's nice to have someone flying the flag. Last UK G&L player that comes to mind is the bassist from Fine Young Cannibals - Dave Steele.

Here's a cool London Calling style pic of the L2000.

Anyway, Buck Brothers and Andy Duke's tasty G2000 silver bass (he is the singer of the band too - love singing bassists) are on Fearless TV on Saturday 31st of May on Fox 5 in NYC. It looks like the show puts stuff online so, when it is up there, I'll post a link to it.

I've emailed Andy Duke to let him know about our forum. He might not even know WE'RE here. :0)

God save the G&Ls....
