Color for my new L2K?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a strong sense I will bite the bullet and order a new L2K and keep my Emerald L2K. The new one will have the #8 neck. I flat out just love the sound of the L2K's.

Now I am thinking about the finishes. There are about 6 I love, but of course can't decide so I ask other G&L aficionados. What color and finish seems to be the most in demand?

I got the redburst on flamed maple top for my ASAT but I really love the honeyburst (especially the sample on the website with the ASAT guitar).

You guys are reading my mind.

Yes, I even thought of the gun oil tinted neck and cherryburst.

I have a friend with the Gold Sparkle Finish on a SB-2. It's awesome, but silver is more my style.

Keep the suggestions coming......

I'm a fan of the clear orange on swamp ash with a rosewood board.

I have a cherryburst with a maple neck. I think of it as my "redheaded hooker". At least it plays like one. Here's a pic of her.

Get the honey finish over ash with the wood binding around the body. Get either a rosewood or ebony fretboard and a matching head stock.

Never found that one. I took that shot at the NAMM show 2 years ago and never found out where that thing went.

I've been on the brink of ordering an exact copy ever since.
